Many of us, regardless of our political allegiances, will agree on an end-goal, just not on how to get there. Multi-academy trusts (MATs) are no exception.

Depending on who you ask, they can be a means of driving up academic standards, closing the disadvantage gap and nurturing creative solutions to some of the stubborn problems commonly experienced across the sector.
