Leeds City Council’s leader has been left dismayed after the European Commission said a British city cannot be European Capital of Culture in 2023.

Leeds City Council's leader has been left dismayed after the European Commission said a British city cannot be European Capital of Culture in 2023.

Cllr Judith Blake said she was ‘hugely frustrated' that Leeds' bid appears to have been scuppered by Brexit.
