Councils keen on sector-led audit deals

More than 200 councils and other local bodies have indicated they would be interested in a sector-led organisation procuring future audit contracts.

More than 200 councils and other local bodies have indicated they would be interested in a sector-led organisation procuring future audit contracts.

Under plans put forward by the Local Government Association (LGA), Public Sector Audit Appointments (PSAA), would be responsible for the independent appointment of auditors from April 2018.
