Councils lauded for election management

Local government staff have been praised for running a ‘smooth, efficient and robust’ election, with figures showing voter turnout was around 66%.

Local government staff have been praised for running a ‘smooth, efficient and robust' election, with figures showing voter turnout was around 66% yesterday.

Although there were reports of some councils reporting some problems with voting errors, overall, returning officers and council staff have been congratulated for their hard work.
