What if councils refused to manage frontline services?

Enough is enough for the Met Police. Under fire on several fronts – not least for its own conduct – the force has made a decision: it will stop attending non-emergency mental health callouts from September.

Post-pandemic, we are facing an epidemic of mental health issues – all predicted by experts. Exacerbated by the cost of living crisis, housing issues and job insecurity all adding to the perfect storm around mental health.
