Three counties seeking devolved powers to boost economic growth have quietly dropped the idea of developing a new combined authority alliance.

In the December offer from Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire CCs, the three councils called on the Government to work with them to develop a ‘combined authority'.
