County opposition to West Midlands devolution softens

Warwickshire CC is expected to reverse its opposition to joining the West Midlands combined authority (WMCA) to avoid missing out on the benefits of devolution.

Warwickshire CC is expected to reverse its opposition to joining the West Midlands combined authority (WMCA) to avoid missing out on the benefits of devolution.

The council had previously favoured a devolution deal with Coventry but the city spurned its advances in favour of joining the West Midlands region.
