CQC plays down increasing inspection powers

The Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) chief inspector of adult social care has warned the organisation could look again at how local authorities contract services.

The Care Quality Commission's (CQC) chief inspector of adult social care has warned the organisation could look again at how local authorities contract services.  

Andrea Sutcliffe made the comment amid speculation in the sector that the CQC could have its inspection powers increased.
