Crossing the channel shift

Local government is set to make £300m savings through digital switchover in 2014, if the findings of a comprehensive survey bear fruit, writes Anthony Peake

This month we released a survey of 575 senior executives of 480 public sector organisations and their strategies for Channel Shift.

With all the recent cuts in local authority budgets, it is almost impossible for public sector organisations to maintain all the frontline services they are expected to deliver. This means that many services are threatened with closure or significant downgrading.
