Council chief executives in Wales will have their pay referred to an Independent Remuneration Panel.

Council chief executives in Wales will have their pay referred to an Independent Remuneration Panel, after the Welsh Government tabled an amendment on the issue.

Plaid Cymru, who said top-tier pay in local government was 'out of control' earlier this week, has welcomed the u-turn.
