The new Government has yet to make a decision on how it will fix local audit in the longer term, officials have confirmed.

Ministers plan to bring forward a draft Audit Reform and Corporate Governance Bill, which will replace the Financial Reporting Council with a new regulator – the Audit, Reporting and Governance Authority (ARGA).
