Derby chief to retire after 16 months in role

Carole Mills is to retire after just over a year in the role.

The chief executive of Derby City Council, Carole Mills, is to retire after just over a year in the role.

In a message to staff, Ms Mills said she was stepping down for health reasons in the new year, following 36 years of public service.
