Local government will be ‘vital’ in new prime minister Theresa May’s premiership, communities secretary Greg Clark has claimed.

Local government will be ‘vital' in new prime minister Theresa May's premiership, communities secretary Greg Clark has claimed.

Mr Clark was a supporter of Ms May in the race to succeed David Cameron and is this afternoon waiting to find out whether he will keep his role, be moved elsewhere in the cabinet or sacked.
