Director of Children's Services - Development and Delivery

London/UK | Salary c.£125k pa

The NSPCC are now seeking a new Director of Children's Services. Reporting to our Chief Executive, Peter Wanless, you will manage the development and delivery of carefully designed specialist services through 40 service centres and around 900 staff based throughout the UK (and the Channel Islands). In addition to ensuring consistently high quality experiences for users of these services, you will help ensure that evidence and learning is extracted in a manner that influences practice and outcomes for children well beyond anything the NSPCC alone is able to deliver.

You will be an expert in child protection/safeguarding practice, set and expect high standards and be able to influence key statutory partners at local and national levels. Most of all, you will be passionate about listening to children, improving their lives and shaping services around their needs. You will hold a social work qualification or have recent experience of managing statutory child protection services.

For further information on the role and how to apply details, please email nspcc@penna.com. Alternatively contact our advising consultants at Penna, Maggie Hennessy on 07877 004648 or Rebecca Jones on 07717 324763.

Closing date for receipt of applications Friday 21 March 2014
