Director of Investment - Trafford Council

up to £80,838

Trafford is a thriving, prosperous and culturally vibrant Borough at the heart of the Manchester City region. It is celebrated as the enterprise capital of Manchester and the economic powerhouse of Greater Manchester. It hosts the largest industrial park in Europe.

It is the home of internationally renowned cultural and sporting attractions and high-achieving schools, but it also has areas of deprivation and faces the same financial pressures which are affecting local government and the wider public sector. However, we are forward thinking, innovative and continually looking to improve service delivery and drive investment opportunities.

Trafford has an exciting mix of commercial business, residential and industrial areas and some great development opportunities. We are committed to providing a strong investment base to attract and retain businesses. We are determined to help shape the future of the Borough, foster economic growth and prosperity, and protect and enhance the environment.

We have recently appointed a new Corporate Director to lead Economic Growth and Prosperity and are now looking for a Director of Investment to be part of a senior management team which will collectively ensure Trafford punches above its economic weight. The successful postholder will need to have credibility with our partners across the city region – both public and private sector – and the ability to spot opportunities and develop Trafford's assets.

If you are an inspirational leader, dynamic, motivated, entrepreneurial and creative, and focused on delivery, then we would like to hear from you.
