A councillor has likened dropping the authority's chief executive role to ‘shooting ourselves in the head and both feet at the same time'.

Earlier this week, a cross-party committee at Arun DC questioned the need to replace outgoing chief executive Nigel Lynn and declined to recommend authorising a salary of £125,000 and £8,000 relocation allowance to his permanent successor.
