Plans to hold a referendum on local government reorganisation in Christchurch will be delayed following the announcement of a snap General Election.

Christchurch BC, which had previously agreed to hold a referendum on plans to create two new unitary authorities in Dorset, said the election could result in changes to cabinet members and government policies on local government.
