Exeter City Council’s chief executive and growth director agreed to step down after being paid £60,000 in a settlement agreement, it has emerged.

Exeter City Council's chief executive and growth director agreed to step down after being paid £60,000 in a settlement agreement, it has emerged.

Karime Hassan described his decision to ‘retire from the council' as ‘very difficult' when he announced he was stepping down in December ahead of his departure at the end of March.
