The Local Government Association's (LGA) fledgling insurance mutual is preparing a ‘fresh offer' to councils after its plans were hit by COVID.

Accounts director for the mutual, Ben Ticehurst, told The MJ there had been a ‘good pipeline' of councils interested in signing up before coronavirus changed the risk appetite among the panel of insurance providers that would have provided cover for more expensive claims.
