Chancellor George Osborne was wrong to bring forward plans for a single-tier pension, which will see council workers pay more national insurance, according to a survey of The MJ's sister website, Localgov.

The survey revealed nearly 60% were disappointed with his announcement on pensions, with 63% saying he was wrong to cap public sector pay increases at 1% for 2015/16.
