Treasurers have called for wholesale changes to a planned overhaul of financial management in councils as they rejected a draft code.

Treasurer societies are frustrated that issues they highlighted in road-testing exercise by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) earlier this year have not been reflected in the latest draft.
