Families are over charged for care, says Ombudsman

Families are being forced to pay top up fees for elderly care due to confusing or incorrect information from their councils, the Local Government Ombudsman has claimed.

Families are being forced to pay top up fees for elderly care due to confusing or incorrect information from their councils, the Local Government Ombudsman has claimed. 

In a report issued today, the Ombudsman says it has seen complaints over adult social care soar by 19% between August 2014 and July 2015.
