The Local Government Association (LGA) has raised concerns over Government proposals for strategic planning.

The proposed National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) includes a shift to strategic planning covering functional economic areas within the next five years, with mayors drawing up ‘Spatial Development Strategies'.
