Fixing the UK's local energy supply problem

Liberal Democrat Climate Change spokesperson Wera Hobhouse explains how Community Energy can benefit local authorities and communities.

The UK has made progress in decarbonising its economy and promising targets have been set. But emission reductions so far have been low-hanging-fruit – largely the result of closing most of our coal-fired powers stations.
