Former chief inspector of schools Sir Chris Woodhead has died aged 68 after battling motor neurone disease and liver cancer.

Former chief inspector of schools Sir Chris Woodhead has died aged 68 after battling motor neurone disease and liver cancer.

News of the death of ex-teacher Sir Chris, who led watchdog Ofsted from 1994 to 2000, was confirmed yesterday.
