One in four foster children move home two or more times a year, according to the charity Action for Children.
The charity has launched an appeal to find more foster carers so children in care will be able to grow up in more stable environments.
‘For children in care, moving home is not just about leaving a house,' said chief executive, Sir Tony Hawkhead. ‘It means leaving a family, friends, school and everything that is familiar to start all over again.'
