The local government sector must take a role in finding long-term solutions to the challenges facing the country.

Despite the short-term ‘crisis mode' gripping much of the sector, it must find a voice on issues such as climate change and migration, founding director of Metro Dynamics, Mike Emmerich, told the MJ's Future Forum North.
