The future remains bright for investment zones

Whitehall connectivity and creativity to overcome policy barriers will be more valuable for investment zones than the promise of government money, says Kate Willard.

The winter nights may be setting in, the economic situation is gloomy and we're facing difficult months with rising costs and high inflation.

But that doesn't mean the sun is setting on the concept of investment zones. Indeed, the opposite is true – we're at the breaking of a new dawn and should be excited by the potential of areas like the Thames Estuary and Teesside to drive good, green growth.
