Michael Gove defended proposed planning reforms against charges they would ‘radically centralise' the system in one of his last comments before being sacked.

Mr Gove wrote a response to Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee chair Clive Betts after he warned the reforms would ‘radically' centralise planning decision-making.
