Gove has no regard for localism, lawyer argues

A lawyer claims education secretary Michael Gove, has no time for localism in his department.

The creation of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) shows that education secretary Michael Gove believes localism has no place in his department, according to a lawyer.

Nick Maltby, partner at Bircham Dyson Bell LLP, said that brining the EFA under the direct control of the Department for Education means capital spending is 'firmly back under departmental control'.
