The Government has agreed that a commissioner no longer needs to oversee Wakefield Council’s children’s services.

The Government has agreed that a commissioner no longer needs to oversee Wakefield Council's children's services.

Wakefield had been working with independent commissioner Peter Dywer, who was appointed by the Department for Education in June 2018 following an Ofsted inspection that judged services to be inadequate.
