Government denies Leicester takeover plans

The Government has denied it has any plans to take control of Leicester City Council amid claims it failed to address labour abuse.

The Government has denied it has any plans to take control of Leicester City Council amid claims it failed to address labour abuse.

A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) spokeswoman said there were ‘currently no plans to take control' of the council.
