Government to gain 'blank cheque' planning powers

A controversial new clause in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill will hand more powers over planning matters to the Government.

A controversial new clause in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill will hand more powers over planning matters to the Government.

The clause will mean planning permission for Crown developments can be made by the Secretary of State.
