Government Settled Status scheme 'will cope' with surge

The Government has insisted it will be able to cope with up to three million people applying for Settled Status by the end of 2020.

The Government has insisted it will be able to cope with up to three million people applying for Settled Status by the end of 2020.

One in five applications were still outstanding after a week in a trial last year in which only 30,000 applications were received.
