General secretary of trade union Unison Christina McAnea has accused former health and care secretary Matt Hancock of failing to protect care homes from coronavirus.

Mr Hancock, who has been battling claims he rejected clinical advice to give coronavirus tests to residents going into English care homes, has insisted he ‘pushed for testing' when it was available.
