Head of Capital Delivery

HEAD OF CAPITAL DELIVERY

Employer: Croydon London Borough Counil

Salary: £71,142 - £78,159 plus market supplement up to a total salary of £85,000 for an exceptional candidate.

Closing Date: 19 September, 2011.

Croydon is changing. Despite the recent challenges caused by civic disorder, our town and district centres are about to undergo significant renewal - and in the longer-term our ambition is to secure city status. Whether we do or not, you will play a central role in delivering the £150 million-plus development and regeneration projects that will transform our Borough.~

Managing a team of up to 30, you'll head a newly integrated structure of professional and technical services. You'll deliver projects on time and within budget for a range of internal and external stakeholders. In short, you will make our ambitious capital, infrastructure and regeneration programme happen.

It's a massive challenge, but also a huge opportunity to help change the face of Croydon. To take it on, you'll need an impressive mix of successful and similarly large private and public sector projects under your belt. Also essential are the leadership skills to develop a high-performing team, combined with a real desire to take on complex, challenging and demanding projects across the borough.

The closing date for applications is Monday 19 September 2011.
