Head of Elections and Members' Services

Hours: 36.40 per week. A key opportunity at the heart of the Council's democratic process, the Head of Elections and Members' Services will play an important part in shaping the Electoral and Members' Services in the future.

You will lead and supervise the functions of Elections and Electoral Registration Services to ensure the effective organisation of Parliamentary, European, Local and Parish elections and Referenda, in addition to managing a team who are responsible for a comprehensive range of support services provided to our Elected Members.

To be equal to the challenge, you'll need a professional track record in managing in a local authority environment, together with substantial experience in the conduct of elections and electoral register. In addition, you will have an understanding of local government procedures and constitutional issues.
