Head of Independent Futures

Head of Independent Futures Staffordshire County Council £98,000

Independent Futures is Staffordshire's brand new organisation for disabled people – a truly unique and joined-up assessment and brokerage service designed for every age, and every stage of life.

Our vision is to provide the personalised support and opportunities our residents need to enjoy a more independent way of living. Because we want disabled people to enjoy true autonomy – whether they're making decisions about everyday issues or the major direction of their lives.

As the Head of Independent Futures, you will harness your background in disability to help our vision become a reality. You'll be an exceptional leader who has successfully run a large and complex social or health care function before. You will know how to think strategically to ensure the organisation achieves its goals. What's more, you'll be adept at building the kind of partnerships that are vital to service delivery. Thanks to these talents, you will be able to model a completely new way of working – one that inspires and empowers both our staff and our community to shape our service, together.

Bringing confident leadership in a political environment, you will ensure that we deliver a holistic approach to working with disabled people. By uniting your team and partners you'll make sure that everyone actively contributes to the exciting development of Independent Futures.

You'll think beyond traditional boundaries – and you'll keep driving innovation. With the passion, resilience and commercial skills to create and shape a brand new organisation, you'll champion a new model for lifelong support – and lifelong achievements for our entire community.
