Homes boost as Prisk unveils £661m payout

Councils in England are set to share a cash payout of £661m to deliver 142,000 new homes through the NHB scheme.

Councils in England are set to share a cash payout of £661m to deliver 142,000 new homes through the New Homes Bonus (NHB) scheme.

The funding, to be allocated in 2013/14, will also bring 13,000 long-term empty properties back into use and be used to deliver 58,000 affordable homes.
