As part of its plans for the future a key role as Housing Finance Manager has been created to provide the MKSP with high quality, effective and efficient financial support and advice. The role is high profile within the Council with a strong degree of interest from Councillors.
You will be the financial lead for the Housing Revenue Account (£150m annually) and the Housing Regeneration Programme whose value is likely to exceed several hundred million pounds over its lifetime. Candidates should be able to demonstrate expertise of the HRA, ideally coupled with regeneration activity.
The successful candidate will be a confident and effective qualified accountant who is capable of providing strategic financial advice and support, together with the ability to manage large scale and complex issues. As well as being highly technically competent, you should be able to demonstrate strong management skills and a flair for leadership and personal development.
This is a business environment where customer service is paramount. You will be expected to build effective and collaborative working relationships, enabling continuous performance improvement, whilst focusing on delivery of successful outcomes.
