Housing is not a game

Louise Round says preparing local plans feels very much like playing a confusing game - only the mistakes are far more costly than failing to win.

I spent the last four weeks living in the bubble that is jury service, doing my civic duty for rather longer than I originally signed up for.

It's amazing how much of the outside world passes by unnoticed while one is ensconced in court, including, for a short while, a parliamentary version of Deal or No Deal in relation to the question of Surrey CC's referendum. As the chief executive of a district in Surrey, it surely would have been compulsory viewing otherwise.
