Hughes to step in at Bristol

Former chief executive of Birmingham City Council, Stephen Hughes, will join Bristol City Council as its interim boss next month.

Former chief executive of Birmingham City Council, Stephen Hughes, will join Bristol City Council as its interim boss next month.

Mr Hughes will take over while the council recruits a permanent replacement for city director Nicola Yates, who leaves tomorrow.
