Improvement cash will be used by the sector to help councils protect their financial resilience.

Under the terms of the £20m agreement struck with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the sector has pledged to use part of the cash to help councils explore new sources of revenue, fight fraud more proactively and respond to financial challenges.
