Birmingham City Council's chief executive has told The MJ he hopes the independent improvement panel tasked with monitoring the authority could be disbanded by March.

Mark Rogers said this week: ‘We could, with a fair wind, hope to satisfy the panel sufficiently that it could stand down in March.'
