Investing in infrastructure is key to turning the tide on inequalities

The Government needs to act to ensure pre-existing inequalities don't worsen, says Rob Whiteman. Investing in infrastructure is a good place to start.

Now that the government has revealed its vision for what levelling up may look like, are we really any closer to reducing the gaps between the haves and the have nots?

Unfortunately, soaring inflation and the cost-of-living crisis are set to affect everyone, but it will not affect everyone equally. The poorest in society are likely to become poorer still.
