Jobseekers 'must not pay council tax'

Asking people on jobseekers’ allowance to pay council tax is unfair, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has been told.

Asking people on jobseekers' allowance to pay council tax is unfair, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has been told.

The verdict came from the New Policy Institute (NPI) think-tank's submission to the DCLG's review into council tax support (CTS).
