Kent overcharging for care services, finds Ombudsman

Kent County Council overcharged the public for care services for over 18 months, according to an investigation by the LGO.

Kent County Council overcharged the public for care services for over 18 months, according to an investigation by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO).

The investigation – which was raised after a complaint from one person - found that the council was charging for care services before a financial assessment was made, which goes against Government guidelines.
