Lessons in how to cope

Tim Byles explains how authorities can lessen pressures of soaring numbers of primary schoolchildren entering the system.

London Councils estimates that by 2015/16, there will need to be an additional 90,000 primary school places to ensure that the capital's children are able to attend school. 

And, while particularly acute in London, this challenge is something which is exercising town halls and breakfast tables alike, the length and breadth of the country.
