The Local Government Association (LGA) has said a ‘lack of communication' from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is hindering the return of events such as Parkrun.
As councils process events applications amid the easing of pandemic restrictions, an LGA report revealed ‘engagement and guidance from DCMS on events has been patchy, limited and, on occasion, conflicting'.
