The Local Government Association (LGA) has told communities secretary Sajid Javid how it thinks extra money from business rates should be spent.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has told communities secretary Sajid Javid how it thinks extra money from business rates should be spent.

Although the LGA was left ‘extremely disappointed' when the Government failed to include the necessary enabling legislation for 100% business rates retention in the Queen's Speech – plunging the sector into uncertainty – it continues to argue for the move.
